GIAN Shop is an initiative that connects grassroots innovators, artisans, farmers, and community enterprises with customers across India. The platform has been created to help innovators reach wider markets while ensuring they receive a fair share of the value generated from their innovations.
The marketplace is operated by GIAN Association for Supporting Technology Research and Entrepreneurship (GIANASTRE), a Section 8 Company, with the support of Gujarat Grassroots Innovation Augmentation Network (GIAN).
Our Payment Model
When a customer purchases a product through GIAN Shop:
- 95% of the order value is allocated to the respective innovator, producer, or partner organization supplying the product.
- 5% of the order value is retained by GIANASTRE as a marketplace service fee to support the operation and growth of the platform.
This service fee helps cover:
- Technology and website maintenance
- Secure payment processing
- Product promotion and market access
- Customer support
- Platform operations
- Activities that strengthen the grassroots innovation ecosystem
Payment Processing
Customer payments are collected securely through our authorized payment gateway.
Where supported by the payment gateway, settlements are automatically distributed between GIANASTRE and the respective innovator or seller in accordance with the agreed revenue-sharing arrangement and applicable regulatory requirements.
